Research on Adverse Residential Signatures (ADRESS)

Current research includes studies of Adverse Residential Signatures (ADRESS) with a primary research site in Hampton, VA 23666 and several auxiliary research sites including one location outside of the United States.  Some information related to these studies was outlined in a recent submission (PNG print screen) to the 2023 SPIE Remote Sensing which was declined due to the content of the manuscript.   As pointed out in the rejected manuscript these research activities are currently based on a single personal account of one affected person (later referred to as "AP").

We define Adverse Residential Signatures (ADRESS) as a combination of scientifically detectable techniques which could be used to remotely affect, manipulate and interface with the human body in residential settings.   Observations at the research sites indicate that these techniques may include the use of a variety of physical (including electromagnetic and acoustic) and other methods to affect the human body in a variety of ways including through sensory organs.   The observations suggest that ADRESS also includes manipulation of a form of matter capable of binding to and penetrating the human body including the capability to interface with the brain and the spinal cord.

The physical perception as well as the tests with the use of metal shielding, grounding terminals and intense sources of light indicate that the techniques used to administer ADRESS to the body must lie within the Laws of Physics.  It was also observed that the unpleasant physical effects caused by ADRESS are alleviated through attendance of services at an Orthodox church, reading Psalter and prayers.   These observations suggest that the ADRESS may include the use of non-conventional methods which are supplemented and intensified with the assistance of conventional technical and scientific approaches.

Our studies concentrate on the aspects of ADRESS within the domains of conventional science.  As such the current research activities include the use of shielding methods, grounding terminals and intense light sources to develop techniques effective in the reduction of ADRESS severity.  Another goal of this project is to develop a measurement system capable of detecting the presence of ADRESS in residential settings as a mobile system based on the Bytran Utility Mobile Platform (BUMP) also under development.

The most effective tools against ADRESS found so far

PASSIVE techniques:  One of the tools uncovered so far most consistently effective against ADRESS is the use of water barriers/shields.  For experiments with water barriers stainless steel containers filled with water are currently being experimented with (the evaluation of plastic containers is planned).   For example, a stainless steel canister shown in Figure 1 which happens to have a Soviet Union logo on it originally purchased for a different project is being used.  As can be seen the canister comes in a very rare size of 178oz (~ 5.26 litre) making it more convenient to use by placing it over a sleeping pillow.  A more effective approach tested constitutes the use of small size hip flasks (7oz (~200ml) and smaller) placed at the forehead, lower section of the back of the head, and the temples such as using a headband or an elastic bandage (electrical contact between the flasks and the body does not appear necessary (May 27, 2024 correction) must be ensured for better effectiveness).  Our observations also suggest that application of ADRESS to the body involves techniques targeting the bottom of the spinal cord (the tailbone region).  Preliminary tests indicate that placing smaller size hip flask(s) filled with water over the tailbone section or into the pants back pockets (7 oz and 10 oz flasks are being experimented with) reduces the capability of ADRESS to bind to the body this way.  It is not currently clear if the use of containers made of conductive materials to hold water is important, or whether electrical contact of these containers to the skin is important to reduce the ADRESS severity.  The observations indicate however that proximity of water-filled containers to the affected body regions is important to reduce the ability of ADRESS to bind to the body.

ACTIVE techniques:  Another tool proven effective against ADRESS found is intense light generated by moderate power gas discharge tubes.  Old Soviet Union made photo flashes (more information) equipped with IFK-120 (ИфК-120) xenon gas discharge tubes are currently used (model СЭФ-3М was used the most).   An example includes the "Saulute" photo flash made in Lithuanian SSR shown in Figure 2.  As can be vaguely seen the "Saulute" photo flash is equipped with a U-shaped IFK-120 gas discharge tube.  The photo flashes based on IFK-120 typically operate at an electrical discharge energy of ~36 Joules (with the exception of model "Луч-М1" (EN: "Luch-M1" or "Ray-M1") photo flash capable of operating at 36, 68, or 104 Joules), the optical flash duration around 0.0005 seconds, and a recommended interval of 10 - 20 seconds between flashes.  The advantage of the xenon gas discharge tubes is the high intensity light output over a wide range of UV, visible and infrared emission lines (see xenon arc lamps), an associated thermally induced shock wave, and some expected emission in other spectral bands including the radio frequency.  More specific information about the ways the xenon discharge based light sources are being used against ADRESS will be provided in the near future.

The title of the book in Figure 3 reads: "Psalter including the rule for the commemoration of the living and the departed".  The reading of Psalter was found effective as a preventative measure and as an alleviative tool after the binding of ADRESS with the body has taken place.

More information about these findings will be provided as these studies continue and the gathered information is sorted out.

Tools currently being used and found effective against ADRESS

Examples include a 178 oz (~ 5.26 litre) stainless steel water filled canister used over a sleeping pillow (Fig. 1), the use of Soviet Union made xenon gas discharge photo flashes like the one in Fig. 2, and reading of Psalter (Fig. 3)

Who is behind ADRESS?

The author of this website does not have substantiated proof identifying the party involved in the administration of ADRESS.   However several circumstantial facts indicate that the United States military may be involved as illustrated below.

Hampton Roads is one of the most highly militarized regions of the United States with an abundance of active duty as well as former military personnel available.  Hampton VA Medical Center and the NASA Langley Research Center are also located here.

Figure 6 - December 5 (Download)

Figure 7 - December 31 (Download)

Figures 4 though 7 above show the view of a third floor apartment located in a building adjacent to the AP's residence.   At the time the photos were taken the third floor apartment shown was occupied by active US military based on the military uniforms they were wearing.  As can be seen the balcony of the third floor unit had varying decorations throughout the year including the lights.   The lights were being operated mostly continuously though the year.   The associated dates the photos were taken are labeled under each figure.   As can be seen the variations included modifications to enable the lights at half the railing only (Fig. 5), as well as the addition of balls (Fig. 6) and a star (Fig. 7).  Other than being weird the variable arrangements had some correlation to the effects perceived in the AP's body as the new patterns were implemented.   In particular, the half the railing implementation of lights had some correlation to when the AP started feeling the negative influence predominantly only at one side of the brain.

The addition of the balls (Fig. 6) and the star (Fig. 7) coincided to a change when the AP developed a perception of a "ball" or a "ball of fire" (because it sometimes felt hot) at the neck and head interface region.   On one of the days when the "ball" was being felt by the AP, the AP when out for a run to a forest and tripped.  As the AP almost fell onto the ground nose down he felt the "ball" shift relative to the AP's body.  This observation indicates that the "ball" was some matter separate from the AP's body subject to the laws of inertia or had limited tracking capabilities.

Fig 8A though 8D illustrate different magnification photos of the same third floor apartment (same apartment as in Figures 4 though 7) of the building adjacent to the AP's residence.   As can be seen in this photo the patio was decorated with a certain type of a 3-color "yellow-red-black" elongated item.   When this decoration was put up the AP experienced some weak physical effects along the entire spinal cord.

Fig 9A and 9B is the photo of a different unit adjacent to the AP's residence which was also occupied by active US military (based on their uniforms etc.) at the time the photo was taken.   As can be seen the door has a certain three color "red-white-green" ribbon decoration.   At the time the decoration was mounted the AP experienced uncomfortable physical effects in the body mostly in the head and neck area.
